Shaykh Pirzada forwards words of congratulations and prayers as Shaykh Amin al-Hasanat assumes responsibility for religious affairs and inter-faith harmony

The Pakistan General Election of 2013 is an important juncture in the country’s history in which for the first time, transition of power has transferred from one elected government to the next. With the level of challenges facing the country, the responsibility on the new government’s shoulders carries heavy weight. The outcome of the election has given the people’s mandate to the Pakistan Muslim League headed by Mian Nawaz Sharif, who has now taken oath and began formulating his cabinet.

Shaykh Pirzada expresses his grief and condolence at the death of two great individuals

On Monday 15th April 2013, the Chairman of Pakistan’s Sunni Ittihad Council, Sahibzada Muhammad Fazle Kareem passed away in Faisalabad and on Tuesday 16th April 2013, the former Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of the Punjab, Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad Siddiqui passed away in Lahore.

On Tuesday following the second tragic news, a gathering in honour of both individuals and to offer condolences and prayers took place at Jamia Al-Karam with the staff, teachers and students. During the programme, Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada expressed his deep grief and sorrow at the passing away of both personalities and spoke of their great and exceptional services in their respective fields. Shaykh Pirzada congratulates Imam Najeeb Naz on IRN appointment

On Saturday 30 March 2013, the annual general meeting of the Islamic Council of Norway (Islamsk Råd Norge, IRN) was held at the World Islamic Mission Oslo, Norway, in which the young scholar Imam Najeeb-ur-Rehman Naz was unanimously elected as the new chairman of the IRN Imam Committee.
 
Imam Najeeb-ur-Rehman Naz is currently the head Imam at the World Islamic Mission Oslo, Norway. He is a Norwegian citizen and fluent in English, Arabic, Urdu and Norwegian. He is also translating the works of Shaykh Pirzada into the Norwegian language. Imam Najeeb-ur-Rehman Naz is a learned graduate of Jamia Al-Karam and along with being a student and disciple (murid) of Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada, he was also granted Ijazah in the Chishti Tariqah by Shaykh Pirzada....

Light in Troublesome Times

The present time is certainly one that revolves around reflection for the Muslims the world over. With millions gathered at the plains of ‘Arafah during the day surrounding the mount of mercy covered in simple white sheets calling upon the Lord to forgive past shortcomings and seeking divine grace for the time yet to come forth. Standing during the day in that holy land and at this very instance wandering in the valleys of Muzdalifah; each individual there must be going through moments of sheer reflection. As for Muslims all over the rest of the world, for them their feelings of joy and sacrifice on the occasion of Eid al-Adha are beginning to set in. No doubt, the Muslims are tonight engaged in contemplation and devotion no matter where they be. That would certainly be the case in an individual capacity, yet Muslims collectively have also had the past week and months...

Shaykh Pirzada welcomes top students of Pakistan

On Tuesday 26 June 2012, a delegation comprising thirty-nine top merit students from Pakistan formally visited the institution of Jamia Al-Karam and met with its Founder and Principal, Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada as well as Shaykh Muhammad Amin al-Hasanat Shah al-Qurashi.

 
The thirty-nine students are those who gained top positions in the national examinations of secondary Matriculation, FA/FSc and the bachelor BA/BSc levels and come from various provinces of Pakistan including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In an initiative launched last year by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, these merit students are on a journey sponsored by the Punjab Government touring the top universities of the world including Oxford, Cambridge and Heidelberg as well as visiting numerous countries including the United Kingdom, Germany and Turkey...

The atmosphere on the eve of Sunday 6 May 2012 at Jamia Al-Karam glittered with excitement as students of Jamia Al-Karam awaited the arrival of Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri for the second time at their institution. Among his numerous commitments during his trip to the UK, Shaykh Habib Ali ensured that he paid a visit to Jamia Al-Karam and met with Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada. Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri is originally from Yemen and is the Director of the Taba Foundation in Abu Dhabi and Member of Board of Directors of Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Yemen.

Jamia Al-Karam holds Launch Ceremony of Tafsir Al-Jilani

On Sunday 29 April 2012, Jamia Al-Karam held a special launch ceremony for the Urdu translation of Tafsir al-Jilani written by al-Ghawth al-A’zam Shaykh Muhy al-Din ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (d. 561 AH). The Urdu translation has been done by the learned scholar Mufti Abdul Rasool Mansoor al-Azhari from Redditch. The translation of the Qur’anic verses in this publication of Tafsir al-Jilani was by Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada.
