Shaykh al-Yaqoubi arrived in the grounds of Jamia Al-Karam in the evening. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed in the Zia-ul-Ummat Suite by Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada and Shaykh Durkee. After a brief discussion concerning the new girls school project, the shuyukh were led to a conference room where Shaykh al-Yaqoubi as well as Shaykh Durkee delivered their words of advice and inspiration to the senior students of Jamia Al-Karam as well as the Al-Karam Islamic Studies College for Girls. After the short programme, Shaykh al-Yaqoubi prayed for the continual success of Jamia Al-Karam and all those involved with it. The guests then made their way to the masjid at Jamia Al-Karam where the pupils of the Al-Karam Secondary Boarding School were waiting to see and meet the shuyukh. The students and staff of Jamia Al-Karam all offered the congregational prayer led by Shaykh al-Yaqoubi. After the prayer, dinner was served for all guests in the Zia-ul-Ummat Suite after which Shaykh al-Yaqubi departed from Jamia Al-Karam. [ENDS] |






On Friday 18 June 2010, Jamia Al-Karam was honoured to host Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi who has arrived in the United Kingdom ahead of the Gateway 2010; Refining our Character Conference to take place on Sunday 20 June 2010. On the same day, Shaykh Noorudeen Durkee also arrived at Jamia Al-Karam from the United States ahead of the same conference.
