Accompanied by Br Fuad Nahdi and Shaykh BaShuaib, Shaykh Habib Ali applauds work of Jamia Al-Karam and WAAG UKThe atmosphere on the eve of Sunday 6 May 2012 at Jamia Al-Karam glittered with excitement as students of Jamia Al-Karam awaited the arrival of Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri for the second time at their institution. Among his numerous commitments during his trip to the UK, Shaykh Habib Ali ensured that he paid a visit to Jamia Al-Karam and met with Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada. Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri is originally from Yemen and is the Director of the Taba Foundation in Abu Dhabi and Member of Board of Directors of Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Yemen. Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada along with staff of Jamia Al-Karam and WAAG UK, welcomed the guests upon their arrival and immediately took them on a tour of the new girls school construction. Seeing the progress of the institution since his last visit, Shaykh Habib Ali was immensely overjoyed. Since the time was after Isha Prayer, a seating arrangement lit up with floodlights at the entrance to the new construction works was set up where following the tour, qasidahs were recited by al-Ni’mah which were followed by words from Shaykh Habib Ali and then a du’a. Shaykh Habib Ali spoke of his immense joy at meeting Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada and also commented upon Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada’s insight and deep practical vision especially in naming the prayer hall as Masalla Fatimah al-Zahra’ and the library as Maktabah ‘A’ishah Siddiqah. He then provided insight into the connection between the two noble ladies of Islam and the prayer and the library.
Following his du’a, Shaykh Habib Ali toured other parts of Jamia Al-Karam’s extensive campus and then visited the hall and offices of the UK Branch of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates (WAAG UK). Seeing the photos of the shuyukh of Al-Azhar over the past century, he expressed his joy and began commenting on their services. Shaykh Habib Ali made specific mention of his utmost joy that the UK Branch of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates was situated at Jamia Al-Karam working under the leadership of Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada for whom he had great words of praise and prayer.
Following the tours, Shaykh Habib Ali and the guests sat in the Zia-ul-Ummat Suite and numerous discussions between Shaykh Habib Ali and Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada continued. It was a splendid sight, seeing the scholars of Islam conversing on the affairs of Islam and the Muslims. Here Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada presented his translation of the holy Qur’an – Imdad al-Qur’an – as well as other recently published works to Shaykh Habib Ali. Shaykh Habib Ali also presented recent publications from the Taba Foundation to Shaykh Muhammad Pirzada. Dinner was served for all guests in the Zia-ul-Ummat Suite which was followed by Shaykh Habib Ali’s visit to Jamia Al-Karam’s girls college where he delivered a talk to the female students of Jamia Al-Karam. Soon after, Shaykh Habib Ali and his delegation departed from Jamia Al-Karam after what were a few blessed hours enjoyed by staff and students. [ENDS]
